KENNEBUNK, Maine — Avesta Housing is a step closer to building a new complex of 72 affordable apartments for senior citizens on Alewive Road.
Rod Harmon, the communications manager for the Portland-based organization, said the project recently gained approval from the town’s Planning Board. The next step, he said, is to secure permits from the state’s Department of Environmental Protection and funding for the project from MaineHousing in Augusta.
