PORTLAND, Maine — Porter Station is a five-story new build located at 200 Valley Street in Portland. The street runs parallel to Saint John Street.
Residents moved in months ago, but Thursday they celebrated the grand opening.
Those who attended the grand opening Thursday were able to tour some of the apartments, which range from efficiencies to three-bedroom units. They are all full.
Avesta Housing said when they opened the applications site, they received 350 applications for sixty units in three days. That shows the demand for affordable units like these.
