On May 8, Avesta Housing was presented with the LeadingAge 2024 Visionary Award at the LeadingAge Maine & New Hampshire 2024 Annual Conference & Expo for assisting 75 State Street in refining its business practices and operational processes.

Founded in 1854, 75 State Street provides assisted and independent living to older adults in Portland, Maine. Sharing common values and missions, and identifying operational synergies, the nonprofit boards of 75 State Street and Avesta Housing voted to affiliate in 2017.
