Ryan Fecteau, Avesta Housing’s senior officer of policy and planning (pictured at far right above), served as a panelist on Dec. 1 at the annual Maine Outdoor Economy Summit in Rockland, Maine. The panel focused on the need for housing and its impact on the economy and employers. In 2022, Avesta received almost 9,000 applications for 350 available homes – 26 times the available supply. The panel also included Robert O’Brien, senior housing specialist, Camoin Associates (moderator); Mike Wilson, senior program director, Northern Forest Center; and Matthew Polstein, owner and operator, New England Outdoor Center.
